1) Fire up LcdStudio and Click New Design
2) Click on the Toolbox tab and drag a TTF Widget onto the display
3) double click on the Widget to bring up its property pages and enter some text into the text property
4) Click on the toolbox tab once more and now drag a gauge onto the display.
5) Click on the DataView tab and browse your way to "free bytes %" of the C drive, and drag that onto the gauge, you will see a green box light up when you hoover the item above it
6) Save This Design as FreeSpaceC.xds
7) Make a new design that looks like this
- The Top Text is a TTF Widget With "Winamp now playing" set to the text property
- The Artist is done by dragging the Artist item onto the display and setting the following properties in that wiget
Auto size:off
Horizontal alignment: Center
X : 0
Width : 128
- The Title is done by dragging the Title item onto the display and setting the following properties in that wiget
Auto size:off
Horizontal alignment: Center
X : 0
Width : 128
- The Time playing is done by dragging the Time Playing/H:M:S Item onto the display
- The Total time is done by dragging the SongLength/H:M:S Item onto the display
- The "/" is done by dragging a TTF widget on to the display and setting the text property to /
Save This design as WinampNowPlaying.xds
8) Now remove the some widgets from your design so it looks like this
And Click File -> Save As , and save this design as WinampAlert.xds
9) Click File -> New Playlist
10) Click The Add button in the regular rotation tab and add The FreeSpaceC.xds and WinampNowPlaying.xds files
11) Double Click on the WinampNow Playing item
- Set the "Run When Property to "Data Activated"
- Click the "..." behind the dataItem property and select "Winamp Running" and click the "OK" button.
- Click the "Apply Button"
12) Click The Add button in the Alerts tab and add The WinampAlert.xsd file.
- Double Click on the newly added line.
- CLick the "..." behind the "Active When" property and select the Winamp filename item.
- Set the Changes to property to "Any"
13) Make sure Winamp is *NOT* running anymore and click The Play button in the toolbar
you should now have a playlist that displays the free space on drive C all the time..
14) Start winamp and put some files in the winamp play list
you should now have a playlist that displays the free space on drive C for 5 seconds, then the currently playing song for 5 seconds and when winamp starts playing a new song you'll have an alert saying winamp is playing a new song.
