Star Wars comes to the G15! (Dialup Warning! Large GIFs) |
|
Well, just took the few Star Wars GIF's that are out on the net and converted them to a G15-ready format using LCDstudio. You need to have watched the real movies to have any idea what is going on, but as a screensaver or something to catch the "Wow" from passerby it can't be beat (IMO). The originals were in color so it might be a little harder to watch on the black/white g15 screen.
Requirements:
LCDstudio build 753 or later
30MB RAM free
Watched the real movies
Bugs:
Some dithering errors, resulting in large portions of the screen flashing sometimes. Get over it.
Instructions:
Download ZIP file, unzip and use LCDstudio to run the playlist file. Use the 2nd screen button to swap between episodes 4,5,6. This file has a 90 day limit before it is deleted.
File Rights:
User has all rights to modify and redistribute as desired.
Screenshots:
None. Due to size of GIFs or something LCDstudio hangs or take a blank pic
Here are the originals for your viewing pleasure though:

...words fail me, really! Who in their right mind sat down and made a short version of the entire movie in GIFs?
I'll try them out on the LCD to see how they look, though!

I'm gonna try un-inverting the colors on them, it may help the dithering errors a bit. None of the different dither methods eliminate it completely. Much easier to see inverted though. The g15 LCD has a pretty good framerate and keeps up with the GIF's pretty well.
