And we have answered that that problem has been corrected in our internal alpha versions. However, we'd like to be 100% certain that a new version that will be released will not cause more problems than solve.
A new version will be released when we consider it ready for the public.
Thank you for your patience.

You must have been, because it's working fine here (and I remember having that problem around a dozen builds ago)!

And I told you, it's working fine here. Whether you fixed it or it's just being nice in my presence is beyond me.

you probably keep power on your lcds so they don't lose their initalized state.

Will the future fix also help my G15 keyboard? It's connected to the docking station of the lap, and loses it when I undock.

I think that's taking it a bit too far.
Is there any event in Windows when you undock? Like, changing from AC power to battery or something? But that's why I'm saying that's taking it too far. You'd want LCDstudio to do something when changing from AC to battery, others might not want anything to change and yet others may want the opposite.
Too complicated. I think it'd be easier to just shut down LCDstudio and undock, and vice versa.

That's the thing! Do what? What can you do, when he's undocking? Obviously, when he's undocking, there's no power going to the laptop anymore, and the docking station should power off. When he's docking, now, it should power up again.
What can you do?

The G15 is attached to the docking station, so when you detach you lose an usb device, when you reattach it would be nice if studio found his G15 again without restarting studio? thats not too much to ask right?

Post G15 Reply with quote
Well, what I'm saying is that there's no reason why LCDstudio should be running and consuming CPU power and resources for something that's not there.
To me, the right thing to have would be some kind of mechanism that would exit LCDstudio when G15 is detached, and reload it when it's reattached.

I want to generalize this question. How can I with a simple program make the presence of any specified USB device control whether any specified program should run? Something like

OnlyOnUsbPresence.exe G15 C:\Program Files\LcdStudio\LcdStudio.exe

so OnlyOnUsbPresence starts lcdstudio when g15 is present, and exits lcdstudio when g15 is not present.
How complicated would OnlyOnUsbPresence.exe be to make? Thanks.
