I found it, but apparently Vista isn't giving up the information I want so my LCD layout is quite barren.

edit:

On XP

On Vista

Mind you the XP capture is a bit old and from back when I still had a single core processor, but it serves the purpose for showing how much is missing.

I've gone through all the plugins with no luck for finding something I can pull such data from.

ok, this is just strange. I Hibernate and resume, uptime and CPU usage start working. Obviously network stats still aren't there, but we all knew that already.

The usage of performance coutners has been restricted in vista, is it possible you ran the first time as 'regular' user and the 2nd you used 'run as administrator' ?

What about accessing/querying WMI??? If it isn't restricted like performance counters (as you mentioned) i have CPU Usage (supporting multi-cpu) plugin that i coded a year ago...

haven't checked the access rights on wmi on vista but the reason i didn't go with it initially was that the performance counters where that much nicer in speed and resource usage.

Ray: no, I never did "Run as Administrator". I operate from an admin account and have UAC disabled so from that standpoint it should behave similarly to XP.

Please do release it. I'm trying to stick to Vista this time, so I'd like to have my meters fully functional even if they're slower than before.

You cannot fix it yourselve, You'll have to wait for a new release of studio. I can't tell you when that will be done though.

No, you don't need anything else. Are you positive you're setting the wiring up properly in the wizard? How have you connected the LCD to the parallel port? Have you seen that LCD work before?
Please provide more information.
